At the Dorridge Surgery (the doctor's office): "Welcome to the NHS! I expect it will be ..... (ridiculously long pause).... quite a bit different from what you're used to."
(Pretty true - at my new patient check- up they didn't even bother to weigh me. It was more of a "about how much do you weigh do you think?")
After telling the handyman I'm going to be out of town: "By the way you need to actually live in a town in order to be 'out of town' and I don't think Dorridge is quite big enough to count."
At the dog park, watching Plato trail miserably behind Sascha to fetch the ball: "He isn't very fast, is he?"
AHEM! He just doesn't like competition, okay?? Plus, your dog is named Flossie so I would just shut up if I were you.
I know, Plato... things used to be so good when you were an only child and didn't have ball competition.
