I'm working on formulating "The Walk" - the (ideally) 1 hour long walk that I will be doing everyday for at least the next two years. I know it is really boring not to mix it up but trust me, with these two nuts, routine is always a good thing. When I try something new (even doing the usual walk backwards or walking on the other side of the street) they work themselves into an "OMG WHERE ARE WE GOING?!?!" frenzy that lasts the entire walk. You guys, we're not GOING anywhere, we're just walking! Like, in a loop! Anyway, the Dorridge walk has a lot to live up to because our walk in Seattle was fantastic. Can anything really compare to walking by Kerry Park everyday? Hmm might not be a fair comparison.
The Dorridge walk hasn't yet been finalized, but I can already tell it is going to be a good one. Part of it involves walking through the huge Dorridge Park and Wood, which seems to be where everyone in Dorridge has been hiding with their dogs. Seriously, I kept seeing people carrying Chuckits with extremely dirty, tired dogs in tow and I knew there had to be a place for them to run around somewhere! Well, we found it and it is awesome.
Plato/Jeff showing off:
After the dogs were good and tired, Jeff and I ran to pick up the all important Call of Duty: Black Ops game for Xbox. I was feeling a bit crafty so I made some delicious apple and cheddar scones.
Sascha watched me in this position literally the entire time I was making them.
Plato kept Jeff company (oh lord, ignore THAT WALL).
All in all, it was a good day.
By the way, that post on the boiler was decidedly unglamorous for the first day of the New Year. For those of you interested in what I did on New Year's Eve, let me tell you, it was a perfect night. I had some cheesy noodles for dinner, followed by a large bowl of Honey Cheerios (just like Honey Nut but no nuts and that alone is cause for celebration) while I watched two episodes of Gossip Girl. It was the one where Serena tries to pick between Dan and Nate - OH WAIT THAT'S EVERY EPISODE. Anyway, I didn't let that get to me. I read Agatha Christie in bed until I fell asleep. I'd like to say that's how we roll in Dorridge, but unfortunately I was rudely awoken by some fireworks around midnight. Must have been the chavs.
